Marble argues that many workers cannot wear VR or mixed reality headsets during live tasks because they need to stay aware of their surroundings. Smart glasses offer a lighter route, giving workers hands-free access to guidance, capture, expert support and AI while they remain on task.
Teague also points to companies spending heavily on travel so specialists can support teams across different sites. Smart glasses could let experts see what workers see and provide support remotely.
The discussion also covers ArborXR’s support for Meta AI glasses and the deployment questions that come with camera-enabled wearables. Companies need clear answers on authentication, privacy, geofencing, data access, remote wipe and what happens when a device leaves the site.
Smart glasses may be easier to wear than headsets, but enterprise rollouts still need proper control, worker feedback and IT involvement.
